LT Executive Series: A Positive Approach to Leadership

Tuesday, May 24, 2022
8:30 am11:30 am

Leaders and managers with strong positive psychological resources such as Hope, Efficacy, Resilience, and Optimism (i.e. HERO) not only have the ability to bounce back after difficult times, but they also can create a contagion effect which can spread positivity throughout an organization. It is important to recognize and develop these positive psychological strengths within your business culture because they have been linked with improved workplace outcomes such a lower employee turnover, higher rated work performance, higher employee commitment and satisfaction, and leadership effectiveness.

Presented by Dr. Kyle Luthans, the John Becker Endowed Professor of Business at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, teaching classes in human resource management and business strategy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, M.A., and Ph.D. in management from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Dr. Luthans has worked with organizations in the manufacturing and health care sectors to implement practical guidelines for managing and developing the positive psychological strengths of employees.

This course is approved for continued education credits for HR professionals.
